While this official 2018 Order Guide contains all factual and cogent info on the new model year, as always, we will learn more at the BASH.

I LOVE that Black Rose will apparently soldier on for another year, and that they've decoupled the 3LT Spice Red interior from the design packages.

My projected date of C7 ownership keeps getting pushed back (gotta buy myself and the wife each daily drivers this year) but I like these changes so far. 2020 can't come soon enough for me...

    Thanks for posting them up!

My thoughts are that they are only discontinuing until they finish the expansion of the PBC for the new product line engine building. They have to keep what's going on in the PBC hidden from the public until the new products are released. This is why you see the PBC windows covered when you take a plant tour now.

Hoped they would have gotten rid of the Black Rose and Long Beach Red and replaced with a pastel blue and pastel orange.

Paper covering the windows on the public tour, visible side of the Performance Build Center went up very recently, and surprise (not), they will be building a motor inside there for some "unamed potential future product" (LOL) for some named "future potential future Corvette."

I expect that right after NAIAS (next Jan 12th), the brown paper comes down, and the Order Guide gets changed to again allow the engine build experience option.

WHOOPS, sorry, Jeremy I missed your above post, but at least two of us are thinking the same thing.

Since they are making the 19/20 inch tire combo standard across the entire line, I wonder if the 18/19 inch tires are going to become more difficult to get going forward. Those of us with base C7 may have an issue.

WA-459C appears to be a new color that GM has never used previously. I searched extensively and was unable to find that color code, or the RPO code G9F for that color.

When searching for all GM colors ever used, restricting that database to something that is a shade of "gray", and sorting them, I found that WA-459C falls between WA-457B used this year on GMC trucks as "Dark Slate" and the Chevrolet Cruze as "Graphite" and the color WA-4630 last used in 1975. But those colors are not even close to each other, so that tells us nothing about how it will look.

All I can say is that it appears to be a color which has NEVER been used before by GM.

Thanks Rodney. You do great "sleuthing!"

While the BASH officially starts in just 19 days, we hope to have pictures of Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic before then (if just by a little bit).

I honestly wish they would cut that out.

20" is too large. Increasing the diameter of a wheel does nothing for handling performance yet it increases the cost of tires and limits performance tire selection.
