Having starting issues with my 2014 Stingray Z51

The issue started last fall. For some reason, it happens at gas stations, not sure if that is just a coincidence, but wanted to point it out. The first few times it occurred, the tow company was able to jump it and I drove it the Chevy dealership. Chevy had difficulty diagnosing it. They said the battery was good, but we eventually replaced it anyway. After that it was starting ok, but it was not the same it seemed to struggle a start but always did until yesterday, it would not start, it would barely crank over. We could not jump it so it had to be towed. So it has to be something other than the battery. Anyone have this issue and if so how did you get it resolved?

    Thanks

It is located on the lower left underside of your dash. When you take your car in for SMOG inspection, or when it goes in for service, the OBD2 port allows for direct hook-up to read codes from your car. It can also be used to attach aftermarket displays, such as dynamic read out of various engine, component temperatures, throttle position, etc., as well as some other uses such as defeating the active fuel management (V8 to V4 transition), changing your exhaust settings, etc.

Some of those aftermarket uses result in significant battery drain even when the C7 is not running. That is the thought process behind my question.

If you do not drive your C7 often and it sits, you may want to use a CTEK charger to keep the battery charged. You can read jsvette's review of a CTEK charger here:https://www.stingrayforums.com/forum...tml#post953728

Have them check the replacement battery also. It's not common but it does occur that the replacement battery is no good. See if that fixes it. They should be doing another one anyway. Other than regular starting and running, as some of the members already suggested, you may have a draw somewhere that is draining the battery or it could be an issue with charging while it's running. Mine was hard starting also but it was on the original battery. Once replaced, she fires up right away every time now. Hope it's an easy fix.

I don't have anything in the port. Chevy determined that the starter has failed and they are replacing it under warranty. Hopefully, that will resolve the issue permanently. Thanks for all the responses.
