Thanks to [email protected] for just sharing that both new mid-2019 colors, Shadow Gray Metallic and Elkhart Lake Blue, are not extra cost colors.
This is especially nice that while Laguna Blue, almost a visual twin to Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic, except the former is a tintcoat, the latter a metallic, with LB being a $495 extra option.
Here are pictures of the new colors as displayed at the National Corvette Museum during their April BASH reveal.
Here is a comparison of Laguna Blue car vs. Elkhart Lake panel – though interestingly in another picutre with the panel held above the car’s fender, the two reversed which one looks slightly lighter e.g., the metallics’ difference in different angles).
Thank you very much Mike.

I shared this news with a local friend who has a 2014 LB, and remains Laguna Blue addicted. He was thrilled about the BASH news about Elkhart Blue being such similar a color (I send him pictures from the BASH). As a result, he is now planning to get a 2020 in Elkhart Lake Blue (maybe a C7; maybe a ME) but definitively in ELB, and so this morning I send my friend an email with the title, “GM just saved you $495.”
I too am a LB fan and my C8 will be the new ELB hopefully a mid-engine
