1000 Mile report
Well I just passed my first 1,000 miles and wanted to give a brief report. The entire buying process was literally the easiest one I ever had. I placed the order by phone during summer, once vehicle was built, I went into dealership & financing approval & paperwork literally took 15 minutes. When I took possession of the car about 2 months ago, there were no issues with vehicle. The only concerns were a small “scratch” on roof of the car and dealer didn’t provide original cover that vehicle came with. Few weeks ago I went in to take care of the scratch which was nothing more than goo stuck on the vehicle which was removed. The dealer also gave me outdoor cover free of charge with Stingray logos. I had windows tinted at same time for $160 by the dealer. I also got the GMPP 7 yr 84K warranty.

As far as quality of C7, I’ve had no issues with it. The only complaints I have so far are – still trying to figure out how to remote start car so that seats are cooled (I did all the settings, but still doesn’t seem to work); I wish NAV would be accessible by the driver while vehicle was in motion. Also would love to get more info from GM regarding apps and when new ones would be released or how to get them for Infotainment system. Other than that, it’s a really solid car and definitely a head turner.

In the interest of weight, the StingRay doesn't separately cool the seats. The seats only get "cooled" when the inside air temperature, as a result of the air conditioner cooling the inside air, pumps the inside air into the seats. If you have an automatic, you can remotely start your car. Can not remote start a manual trans.

I'm sure he means the seat cooling won't start with remote start...and that is true - another thing that the manual says it will do....and there is a display setting for it, but it does not work in the cars....

Had a similar problem with my Jeeps. Although the seat ventilation came on the A/C compressor didn't with remote start so no cooling at all. They finally came out with a TSB and a flash to correct the issue. Expect the same from Chevy. Just make sure to report it to your dealer so it gets logged as an issue even if someone else has reported it. Issue get resolved based a lot on how many people are complaining.

I purchased the LoJack option for my C7 when the dealer offered it. I originally thought that OnStar would be able to disable a vehicle if stolen. But if a stolen vehicle is parked in an underground garage, for example, I'm thinking the OnStar satellite signal might not work to disable and track the vehicle. Any thoughts on this, ScottsdaleDave or others?

Onstar will work fine, when it moves and it will. I'd never purchase LoJack in this day and age, 10 yrs ago, maybe.
Thanks, Glen. I didn't do my homework on this

Yes, that is correct - the seats will not turn on heat or cool when I use remote start on key fab. I turned on all the settings and still nothing. I will compile all questions for the dealer when I take it in for oil change in few weeks.

Did 840 miles of my first 1,000 miles in 2 days..... ride back home from the Museum delivery, and the results:
NOT ONE ISSUE!!;)
Stingray drove smooth as silk... no shakes, no rattles, no whistles, and stayed perfectly straight with hands off wheel for a long stretch and hit 102mph two separate times and it felt like I was doing 50!!!! Cranking the tunes with that awesome Bose system all the way too!

This is one BAD A** RIDE!!!:cool::cool:
