Just finished the last tour of the day, and once again no Spectra Gray wheels. That makes six tours, and only one Z06 with Spectra Gray wheels -- inspite of my seeing about 80 Z06's in total. This is certainly different from what I have heard from two of the top five dealers who have lots of Spectra Gray orders, mine is Spectra Gray, as are two of my friend's. Maybe just coincidence, with tomorrow or the rest of the week running a fair amount of them?
John, yours is suppose to be going down the line tomorrow hopefully, so you'll have an opportunity to see what they look like on your own car. Please PM me with your thoughts and impression once you see them. Thanks. Oh BTW, after taking all these tours you'll be so familiar with them you'll be able to do them by yourself next year if they ask you again.

ALF01, I might be wrong here, but I think John may have been referring to the mounting hole locations being the same and ease in being able to switch them out. Again, I might be wrong here. Just one of those posts that might leave the reader up for interpretation...

Hey Dave, just coming from memory, which isn't all that great anymore, but it's been my understanding that the Stage-1 is shorter, more like the Z51 and the Stage-2&3 are significantly taller... Can't remember the exact amount. And I too understood the Stage-2&3 has more of a wrap around on the ends than the Stage-1. Maybe we'll get more clarification from John later. Think perhaps having to write our posts and responses make it more difficult to communicate and interpret what we're actually trying to say...

Boy, I've been completely mistaken this whole time, based on what you guys are posting and based on the pictures in Post #29 the rear spoiler is apparently made up of multiple pieces. I thought it was all one piece all this time...... Whenever the Z51 spoiler was mentioned, I thought of a spoiler that didn't stand up nearly as high as the Stage-2 & 3, so I thought it was a completely different spoiler. So, if anyone ends up stuck with a Stage-1 who wants a Stage-2 as the result of constraints can get one by changing out only part of it through the parts department at a later date? That still doesn't resolve the issue with the front splitter though. I'd swear the Stage-2 & 3 front splitter stands out further and is a completely different piece, only the difference between the Stage 2 & 3 is just the end caps....

This is all great news regarding the rear spoiler and front splitter. Whether we totally appreciate the factory splitters and spoilers as they are, the beauty in all this is, GM has designed great adjustability into it whereby we as customers/buyers have the ability to change it to whatever we want. As far as the exposed bolts on the rear spoiler and ascetics go, based on the pictures I've seen, yes there maybe room for improvement over factory setup, perhaps the use of black "Button Head" bolts that can be found at any well stocked Ace Hardware can replace the originals. Just like the old phrase, "If you build it, they will come," likewise, "If you can imagine it, it can be created or built." So, if the bolts really bother you and you'd like to clean it up, then investigate everything (Options) available and take care of it.....

John also mentioned one of our Supporting Vendors of the forum is designing an alternative to the spoiler situation. I have the strong feeling, based on the popularity of the C7, there's going to be an infinite number of additional options made available to us through forum vendors and SEMA members, so we all need to be patient and wait to see what's made available and weigh our options. We're going to discover we're going to end up with allot of options down the road.
