Oh man! Corvette Racing doesn't always adopt a new generation car right off the bat, but the all new C7.R looks about as wicked as they come! The world famous 24 Heurs Du Mans is just over 19 hours away, and is considered to be one of the most grueling track based races in all the world. Race cars are built to tackle the 24 Heurs at Le Mans specifically, and the rest of the races of the season are quite readily handled by the specs that are required for the 24.
Regarded as the pinnacle of motor racing by some, and romanticized by film stars of yesteryear like Steve McQueen with "Le Mans," and even in a riveting documentary "Truth in 24," the 24 hours at the Circuit de la Sarthe is the world's oldest active sports car race in endurance racing, held annually since 1923 near the town of Le Mans, France, and is considered to be one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world. Three drivers per vehicle will take turns piloting the C7.Rs that will be fielded by Corvette Racing.
I am pretty excited!
