I'm not sure the area behind the screen was intended for my use. I find that a Taurus model 850 .38 Special fits well and out of sight. Make sure you have a CCW permit. The Valet mode keeps the screen locked. Only issue is making sure to remove it when going for servicing. The S&W .22 magnum works well also.
