GM just released StingRay sales states this model year, up to and including April 3rd. Some interesting news, while not unexpected, but powerful in what the details say. For example, in the 61 year history of Corvettes, chrome wheels have never previously fallen to second place. For example, during the C6 generation, chrome wheels exceeded 60% of sales. True, in the specs below this was for the Z-51 models only, but as you know, black wheels were not offered for the non Z-51 model (rectified for 2015). Specific 2014 sales, by model, option info, as follows:

Especially interesting info below when you look at the 2014 model year column, when StingRay was in full production:

Hey John, I wonder where the new machined Spectra Gray wheels are going to come in for next year. Know you've been super busy back there and am hoping you'll bring back a wealth of information that will give us allot to talk and think about until June when we hopefully find out allot more when GM decides to release additional information on all the options and pricing. Thank you very much for all that you've provided us over the last couple of days.

That would be me Rodney. I was going to do the 2LT with a couple of the options that are standard on 3LT and kept looking back and forth at the numbers. Realized I had time to save up the additional money, and also realized this is the first and very well last time I buy a dream car like this. As much as I already intended to spend, it seemed silly to nickel dime it.

I like the tech of the PDR, and the utility it provides for those who race.

Like most owners, however, I won't be taking my Vette to the track, so the PDR ultimately means very little to me. I might use it once out of curiosity (if I was getting a 2015).

There are already enough layers of tech in the 1LT alone to keep drivers occupied with system management. I don't need anymore.

If you look at the Numbers 1lt is so low of a %. 79% get Nav. and now every Nav. will include the PDR system and cost everyone $1200 est. more.

That is not confirmed and I think you have it backwards. Every PDR will require Nav but it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY every Nav will require or get PDR.

What really confuses me is eliminating the 4th highest rated color? If anything I would expect the bottom 2 to get replaced. Sometimes their thought process makes no sense at all.

I have to agree, seems a little strange to dump cyber gray but maybe their thinking is that Shark Gray will be as big a hit as well?

Their marketing department probably has some information which says Shark Gray will be even more popular.

I asked to confirm this 2 times and unless something changes all Nav. systems will include the PDR. Nav. will see a price increase. I was also told every 3lt will get Nav. and as such the PDR.

I'm personaly ok with this as such I was going to order the 3LT and the PDR just because it would be a geat toy. I was told this would be used more than just a track tool and "Covette Owners will love this"

I'm not sure who you asked but that makes absolutely no sense at all. By that logic every 3LT will get the PDR and I simply don't think they will package it that way. All I saw posted here in this thread is Nav is required for PDR, nothing more.

Perhaps you are confusing packaging for the Z06 vs. the Stingray. I can see it being bundled into the Z06 bit certainly not the Stingray.

Time will tell. Not sure if I should post who told me. I will send Elagant a message and ask him if I should give out that info. I asked about the Nav and the PDR and he told me they would be combined and be part of the 3lt package and the 3LT would see a est $1200 price bump. I also understood the same to be on anyone getting the Nav. as a stand alone opt. not sure of the price bump on the Nav./PDR opt.
I was surprised myself on the answer.

Well everyone who gets the 3 level trim will automatically get and pay for the PDR, I do not believe that if you get a 1 level or 2 level trim that you are going to be required to get (pay for) the PDR. Thinking that in the 1 level trim you can get a nab system without PDR and the same for a 2 level trim. We will definitively know sometime in the next six weeks.
