For the twelfth time, the Corvette will be the official pace car of the Indianapolis 500 Speedway. This time however (which is the 97th Indy 500 Speedway), it will be the amazing new 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray! As you can see in the pics, the newest pace car is a gorgeous new Stingray and includes the “Indianapolis 500″ and “Official Pace Car” logos.
Interestingly, but unsurprisingly, the new Stingray pace car did not need any engine modifications to perform its duty as the official Pace car this time. Apparently, with 450 horsepower under the hood, and a top speed of 190, the new C7 can handle keeping up just fine.
