PERFORMANCE
DATA RECORDER

An industry-first Performance Data Recorder (PDR) will be available on all Corvette models for the 2015 model year. Codeveloped with Cosworth, this fully integrated system allows users to record high-definition video with telemetry overlays of their drive experiences on and off the track. HD-quality videos can be reviewed in the vehicle (when parked) or downloaded to a personal computer for sharing via social media.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS INCLUDE:
• High-Definition Camera
––Mounted within the windshield header trim
––Records the driver’s point of view throughthe windshield
––Self-Contained Telemetry Recorder
––Uses a dedicated GPS receiver that operates at 5Hz (five times faster than the in-dash navigation system) for more precise positioning and corner traces
• Dedicated SD Card Slot
––Located in the glove box
––Allows for recording and transferring video and vehicle data
––Data can be uploaded to Cosworth Toolbox telemetry software (similar to that used by Corvette Racing) to help improve driver’s techniques and lap times

PDR CAN RECORD VIDEO WITH FOUR OPTIONS:
• Track Mode – shows the maximum level of data on the screen, including speed, rpm, g-force, location based map, lap time and more
• Sport Mode – shows fewer details but includes key data including speed and g-force
• Touring Mode – no data overlay, just video and audio
• Performance Mode – records performance metrics such as 0-to-60 MPH acceleration, 1/4-mile speed and elapsed time and 0-100-0 MPH runs

Remind me in a few weeks, and I will move it to the Z06 section, and stick it.
Will there be a Grand Sport Model?? off this Z06 Body style?

I seriously doubt it unless they need to extend the life of the model. Other makers do this as well. Porsche is notorious for doing it with the older wide body kits on the 911 and most recently with the GTS models. I suppose it appeals to some but for me these parts bin specials always felt like sheep in wolves clothing.
Has anyone seen these new Pearl Nickel Wheels, they sound like something I would like?
Thanks to mjw930, we have a great video will pictures of those very wheels.

And may well be seen by hundreds of thousands this weekend at Barrett Jackson?
