Unable to yet confirm whether this 712 unit StingRay recall includes the previous 33 recalled StingRays. Both however, are consistent with each other. We will not know specific vehicles (VIN's) for a while however, but at least 29,000 StingRay owners with standard GT seats can rest easy.

GM is unaware of any injuries related to this condition, but advises customers to not allow small children in the front seat until it’s serviced.

If when you went to the GM VIN Recall site, it said, "GM Program #:N140240 (PASSENGER SEAT SIDE IMPACT AIRBAG)," it is definitely related to your comp seats. The two parts, the comp seat and the passenger impact airbag are related due to a faulty "passenger sensing device or attendant wiring" problem -- the sensor in the passenger seat which measures whether there is an occupant in that seat and thus would trigger the passenger dash airbag, and/or the passenger seat side impact airbag in a crash (depending in the measured angle of impact)

If, when you went to the GM's Recall site, punched in your VIN, it was not specific, just saying your car had a recall (but no more), it could be your comp seat/passenger side airbag recall, OR, it could be that your rear shocks are being recalled (that separate, and only other StingRay recall as of yet).
