Hi all,

First time Vette buyer here.

After thinking shark grey for months, am about to order a 2015 Night Racing Blue Z51 LT2, with Kalihari interior, black factory wheels & yellow calipers. Think have also decided on NPP exhaust.

Couple of (newbie) questions I could do with some help on:

- I would love to get the Z06 grille because its looks like the normal car is wearing a dental retainer!! Is this possible (price?), can I order to be installed pre-delivery?
- What discounts, if any, are people seeing on a spec order for 2015 vette? FRom my research, might be possible to get $2k off MRSP?
- Saw the thread on winter tires - given am in NY, going to have to think about this - likely get all weather tires installed if possible, and buy summer tires in spring if the performance is really that much better. Wont be driving heaps in winter anyway.

Any other feedback etc welcome

thanks for help

No Z06 grilles available at any GM parts counter for a while, probably not for a month or two until after the first Z06's get into customer hands.

Will send you a PM with other info your are seeking.

Welcome to our forum sdarke! I presume John has sent you a PM with some pricing info. Re the tires, you won't need to buy 'summer tires' since you can only order your Stingray with the hi performance run flat summer tires. Winter tires and wheels would be a good investment. You will really like the performance exhaust (NPP) as well.

I'm pretty sure the performance exhaust is standard on a Z51. Join a credit union and get GM supplier pricing and save 6-7K off MSRP.

How can one join a credit union? Don't you have to be a GM or dealer employee or a supplier? Does credit union pricing apply to all credit unions? Thanks, Bob

Being a member of a participating credit union opens up supplier pricing to you as a member. Just about every recognized credit union is on the participating list. Not all dealers offer credit union/supplier pricing, but several of our "sponsoring dealers" do.

sdarke, welcome aboard and it reads like your almost there on finalizing your order. If you really like a certain option order it and You will be happy. Like John posted, Z06 grill will most likely be available a few months afterwards, or cover the chrome on the grill like Steven posted. Look into the credit union, I got 1.99% and a pre-approved amount. Do you need Gap insurance, or are you going to put down a lot of coin up front. Make yourself a checklist for the Vette, inspect it thoroughly, front end protection, oil change, etc. So if your going to pull the trigger, no warning shots, get what you want!!!

N.B. - Being a member of the credit union gets you the discount when you follow the process steps. No need to actually get a loan there, although they are offering some very attractive rates there these days!

Good luck to you!

Jeff

P.S. I was really liking the NRB from pics but I have made a point of seeing every color in person, and it opened my eyes to all the really great colors of the 2015 C7s. I am now most partial to the Laguna Blue. So many great choices! I would highly recommend seeing all colors in the flesh. A high volume dealer should have a nice assortment of all colors to see.
