Several additional 2015 StingRay changes were announced at the Bash. Thank you GM for bringing 81 staff to the event, and having them all be very accessible to all Bash participants. Here are the Bash announced 2015 StingRay changes:

* "Daytona Sunrise Orange" will be replacing Lime Rock Green but will be "delayed availability." When shown the following picture (thanks Manuel Carrillo III), Harlan Charles said the new Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic was a little lighter, a little brighter than this.

* Software updates will no longer require visits to your dealer, but will be electronically sent to you car.
* If a dash trouble light comes on, it will show exactly what that symbol means on your 8" center LCD display screen;
* 3LT contains both IWE and PDR , though PDR available for 1LT and 2LT interiors if nav system ordered;
* Carbon flash badging an option (EYT);
* Shark Gray Exterior Vents available (EXF), as are Body-Colored Exterior Vents (EFY);
* Convertible has optional real carbon fiber tonneau inserts (E57);
* NPP included with all Z-51's;
* OnStar 10.0 with 4G/LTE (Standard)
* If select black carbon fiber aero components on stage 2 or 3, black is "glossy."
* Guage Cluster Additions: MPH can be shown in "Tour"; and, instantaneous HP can be displayed in "Sport";
* Z-51 additionally can show eLSD instantaneous status, as well as "wheel slippage" info.

Previously shared other 2015 StingRay changes include: the eight-speed automatic transmission, new 2015 wheel options, PDR, "Atlantic" and the "Pacific" sub-models, and that "Shark Gray" will replace Cyber Gray.

Finally, all StingRay options were previously divulged or are listed in this thread, i.e., no "additional, later surprise 2015 options" would be forthcoming.

This is good news to Me and those that want a more Ala-cart ordering system on some items but the total opposite on others. Sounds like they are tightening up on pakages.

What is IWE?

Shark grey or body color vents-does that get rid of all the carbon flash panels/parts? If not, what parts are affected?

So, is stage 1 aero "matt black"?

Thanks for any clarification you can provide!

IWE is Sueded Microfiber Interior Trim which was priced at $995 on a 2014.

The option packages are forcing many selections by the grouping which may not be to a customers liking. Along with the grouping, the prices will undoubtedly increase as well.

The 3LT which is $8005 this year will undoubtedly be far more expensive on a 2015.

In order, 1) body colored vents includes all exterior vents and grills; 2) IWE is a synthetic, semi-fuzzy, sueded, microfiber cloth that covers the A" pillars, the windshield header, around the sun visors, the coupe's roof underside, and also wraps around the rear quarter windows. It is attractive to me (and many, many, many others); and, 3), the front spoiler on a stage one Z06 is a hard, glossy black plastic. I like its appearance. GM officially calls it "MIC" -- but it is going to take someone way smarter than me to tell you what MIC stands for, though will guess the "C" stands for a composite???

Here are two good pictures of the stage 1 splitter (pics thanks to Mike Furman ).

Center/front view:

End of splitter, front driver's side corner (note, no "winglets" at ends as in stages 2 and 3):

Will MSRC (FE4) be available separate from Z51?
Went into the Bash thinking the answer would be "yes." Was dead wrong, for it will be the same in the 2015 StingRays as it was in the '14's, i.e, that you will need to order the Z-51 package to get MSRC.

Sorry but searching in the actual 2014 equipments it don't find any one named PDR... What is this ?

I have also a problem when reading the comments about the US options and references for interior packages as for Europe we don't have the same references for them, for example the trims options are named IL3, IL4, IL5 and IL6 !

I have to wait for the new european order form list to know what my 2015 Stingray will really be able to have. Apart that if the IWE is now included without any package price change, it's a good new !

Lowering the price of the FAY (carbon fiber, instrument panel) option would be a good idea considering the price of this item when ordering to fit later.

* Shark Gray Exterior Vents available (EXF), as are Body-Colored Exterior Vents (EFY);

Need to find out if the Z06 will have this option.
AND it appears that this includes Trim pieces as well as shown in a Stingray with a spoiler colored Shark Gray and lower rear end.

I also find it interesting that ANY body-colored vent is not allowed, but only THE body-colored vents.
Seems like an easy one since they will have all colors for the vents.

I wonder if they paint the vents with the same batch of paint as the body panels so they will exactly match. If so, that could explain one reason why you can't cross match various colors of vents to body panels.

I am getting confused about the NAV and the PDR for 2015s.

We are going to get the NAV, no question, in our 2LT we plan to order.

Is the new PDR just flat out part of the NAV, so the cost of the NAV option is going to jump substantially and you'll get the data recorder whether you want it or not?

Or can you order the NAV without PDR, but then for those that want to have PDR they can pay an additional amount?

Some bash stuff I read make it sound like they are all one.

Others say the two 'share substantially' the number of parts so you have to have NAV to be able to get the PDR option.

And when will we get the list of options in detail approximately? I think I'm talking about when dealers get the full boogie listing and then they're nice enough to share it with the masses.

Sorry. I know I asked the second part already on some other thread, but who knows where that was. I'll pay attention to this one as I really want to know the NAV PDR mystery!

Thanks John!

No, PDR is not part of the NAV but NAV is required for PDR. About the only thing about PDR that shocked me was including it in 3LT, with the subsequent price increase on the 3LT package.

If you are ordering a 2LT with NAV then PDR is simply another check box and $$$$ bump.

I assume they need the 4g LTE to send updates, sure would be nice if that was retro....

the updates to the driver displays should be retro no problem....

Good. It will be interesting to see what the $$$$ bump IS for PDR. If it is small, we might get it anyway. If it is big, forgetaboutit! We don't plan to do track stuff. Could be fun for road trip recording, but not imperative if it is pricey!!!

PDR is a forward looking video and data recorder. It was not a 2014 option, but an addition for 2015.

I bet its a easy 10K opt. dont care for the Micro Fiber sec. looks like they say build what the customer wants and at the same time take it away for the higher end buyer.

The microfiber headliner reminds me of the Alcantera in my Lamborghini and R8. The 3LT with visible carbon fiber dash and microfiber headliner improves the entire atmosphere of the interior — takes it to the next level. It's hard to give up once you are accustomed to it. It pleases me that more people will possibly be exposed to this next year, even if it is against their will. But then again, I'm that guy who always talks you into one extra glass of champagne. After all, it's only one glass…
