Noticed my 2LT has what is called an 'advanced theft protection button' located next to the trunk release on the lower dash. I found no reference to it in the owners manual. When pressed a tone is heard though I couldn't say whether I was turning it on or off. Any insight? Thanks
Got it now after a little research: the "getting to know your 2014 corvette" short manual calls it the 'advanced theft protection button' but the owners manual calls it the 'intrusion and inclination sensors disable switch' which it does describe briefly. Intended for pets left in car or a car being towed or otherwise transported.

Intrusion and Inclination
Sensors Disable Switch
It is recommended that the intrusion
and inclination sensors be
deactivated if pets are left in the
vehicle or the vehicle is being
transported.
With the vehicle turned off, press
on the right side of the hatch
release button. The indicator light
will come on momentarily, indicating
that these sensors have been
disabled for the next alarm system
arming cycle.
