Does anyone else hear a burning sound after parking the car as if the condensation from the air conditioner is dripping on the header or engine?

YES. Drips on the exhaust from the air conditioner. My wife said the car was leaking something which concerned me until I saw it was water and occurred only when the air conditioner ran!

Thank you for the answer. I never heard a car make that sound before.

I've seen some speculate mfgrs design it to drain on the hot exhaust to minimize the amount it will end up on the ground, like in your garage. If you use the ac a lot & get tuned to listening for it & suddenly don't hear it, it can be a sign that the drain is clogged/malfunctioning, which if not remedied, often causes other problems.

The other camp worries about the water rusting the exhaust out over time.

Not a new problem for the C7. Been doing it on my 2006 Corvette, and no rusting nor other problems as a consequence -- but it is unnerving the first few times to be sure.

Mine does it also. We have the AC on all the time in Texas. So once I figured it out no big deal

Both correct. Normal smart design.
