Ok just asking not looked to get anyone mad,I have a 2015 on order, first sports car I have ever owned,or should say will own.I talked to alot of guys who say I am nuts that the new C 7 are full of problems.I feel in this day and age with all the high tech you will will always have some problems.I have been in the trucking for 35 years and all of my old trucks with the old engines ran great. When we went to the new engines all kinds of problem, still having them.So what I am getting at is the C 7 full of problems,or is just a few problems for the amount of new C 7 that are on the road?I hope with the C 7 the problems can be fixed, were as with the big trucks them seem to just keep changing parts till the get it right.Thats why I went back to all older trucks.

You are reading a forum. Where people post problems. Its the way forums wrok. For every one here that posts a problem, there are 10 that are good. But you never hear that. Dealers are not barraged with problems, snd there are only a few service bulletins and recalls for the car in the grand scheme of things.

Youll be fine. 8000 miles here and not a single problem.

All I can say is that my experience has been great. Had a couple of problems but my dealer easily remedied them. No noticeable oil usage. Good tire wear. Will have had the car 6 months on Nov 1 and will have over 13,000 miles of smiles.

Few things are black and white when it comes to cars. As Glen noted you are on a forum where part of the purpose is to have a venue to post issues and get solutions. The C7 in now in its second year of production with over 35k built in its first year. As with any almost totally new car as the C7 was, there are some issues but by far and wide the car has been an outstanding and pretty trouble free phenomenal car. Like Glen, mine has 7k+ miles and no issues. The Stingray has been one of the best received, reviewed and praised sports car in ages. I think you will find it a fantastic driver's car on every level.

So many stellar and spot-on responses in this thread. If you compare the C7 to the pre 2008 997 generation 911, or the current GT3, or a lot of Ferraris, there aren't many problems at all. I have not heard of or read about a single Stingray spontaneously combusting, or other consistent catastrophic failures plaguing them. Sure there have been a few niggles here and there, but nothing too significant. I think Corvette as a model has historically been subject to extreme scrutiny. It's lonely at the top.

I've been a trucker for the past few years. This is my first V8 sports car also. I've only had Japanese cars before this one. I never wanted a North American car. I wanted a car that could stop and take corners. Well, this car can do that in spades. I don't get to drive it much, always on the road. I've been able the beat on this car at the track three times this year. The only issues I've had with that punishment was a loose bleed screw on the front brake. (It must have come loose after they changed to DOT4 brake fluid). A Corvette race driver fixed my car at the track so I could keep lapping that day. The dealership replaced the calliper under warranty.
I can hostly say that I love this car and the vette people that I've met because of this car.

Al, ditto to all the above. You'll think about it and the possible problems that could occur but with the numbers out there both 2014 and the projected 2015 totals, you'll be very surprised once you get you machine.

My C7 is the nicest, quickest, baddest, most luxurious, sportiest, coolest, most exciting car I have owned in over forty years of driving and buying cars. It had a simple rear hatch seal that came loose, but other than that minor issue it has been completely trouble free in the six months I have had it. It is beautiful and draws a lot of attention. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If it had a major failure like a blown engine or something like that tomorrow, I would still love it and not question my purchase. I would just be sad for the time I would have to wait to be able to drive it while it was fixed. Every time I open the door and see it in the garage I smile and can't believe it is actually mine.

Just over 1 year old, been to the dealer once when GM requested I have the rear end fluid checked and it was fine! Did my own oil change, went fine. Overall excllent quality. Added a few extra's carbon fiber side skirts and hood vent and number of others.

Al, I'm over 6,000 miles driven and the only problem I experienced was a dead battery (shelf life), HVAC AC Heater control module (electrical gremlin) Both of these items were squared away at my local Chevrolet dealership. Other than that, the C7 Corvette StingRay is a well refined highly engineered performance masterpiece. When you climb out of your big rig after a long haul and jump into your Vette, your stress melts away and you fire it up, the C7 will "make your day"!! You will enjoy every minute behind the wheel.

Not quite one month old yet... about four days shy.
5,000 miles and zero issues, as you'd expect.

The first 9 days was all road trip, and beyond being trouble-free, it proved itself a great daily driver in every way....around town, on the road, in traffic.

As has been mentioned before, forums are notorious for being 'full of complaints'.... you just don't see people posting up every other week saying how everything is just fine, all is okie doke.

And you can rest assured that the wrinkles are being ironed out as they show up.

I had the same problem. I've seen enough dead batteries that I diagnosed the problem and a voltmeter confirmed it. I was able to start the car after charging the battery, drove to the closest dealer (without an appointment), and I was on my way in about 2 hours total.

About 6800 miles now, and that's been the only problem.

It's always fun to jump in the car on a warm sunny afternoon, drop the top, turn on Track Mode, toggle on ARM, hit the Traction Control button and transform into Mobius - Local Rock Star™.

What a blast(!) - too bad Winter's own blast is looming. :(

I have owned many muscle cars over the years, and the 2015 Corvette is light years ahead of any of them in styling, performance and comfort. Absolutely no regrets here, and never ending smiles per gallon!
