Good for you! It is worth it, enjoy it responsibly.
When I was your age a long time ago, as a snot nose upstart, I had my '65 Sting Ray, I thought I was hot sh!t, but, it was just another car to me, a form of transportation. I didn't take care of it, I basically drove it into the ground. As I got older with a family, responsibilities, etc., my priorities changed, and started to take care of things better, because it costs money to repair, of which I had very little.
As the years have gone by now, I'm always kicking myself in the ass for not at least taking care of that '65, and not knowing the value of the car would bring in the future, I wish I had it now.
Now, I am border-line anal about any vehicle I own, occasionally I will holler to those around the C7......"don't touch the car"......
