Optioning out my 2015 Stingray and having a difficult time choosing the color. The problem is, my current Stingray is Laguna Blue and this remains my favorite color. Would I look drunk if I purchased a 2015 that is exactly like the 2014 I drive now? Would people make fun of me like that time I woke up in McDonald's ball pit, wearing nothing but and a giant rubber nose and tighty whities stuffed with dollar bills, clutching a fistful of bloody clown hair?

The other colors I'm considering are Shark Gray and Night Race Blue. Any suggestions?

Are you keeping your 2014 alongside your 2015? If so then I would go with a different color. Otherwise I think the 2014 might get neglected.

If there were only two Stingrays left in the world and one was Shark Gray and the other Night Race Blue, I would take Shark Gray.

Thanks, Sciros. I will be trading.
Laguna Blue is, by far, my most favorite color, especially now that Cyber Gray is gone, sadly. Have not yet seen Shark Gray in person, but I like it. Night Race Blue is also awesomely awesome. Tough decision.

Has anyone ever traded a car for a new one of the same color that is nearly identical? Any regrets? As you can tell from the cars in my profile, I tend to be very narrowminded and often require help. :-\

I would go with Night Race Blue personally because I prefer that color over Laguna Blue, but it seems also that Night Race Blue is somewhat unpopular. So you would be gaining some exclusivity while giving up a bit of demand for the car if you were to privately sell it or something. I think Night Race Blue has a certain "Jim Lee Batman" (just search google images) vibe to it but that's probably just me.

Hah yeah a Gallardo and two R8's... you must really like that V-10 or perhaps you are Iron Man. I cannot afford; great success!

I have traded for the same color several times for both my wife and me. It's also my way of keeping my friends at bay about asking if I traded cars again.

Raydor, I am curious why you want to trade.

Let us assume for a moment that you get Laguna Blue again. What will the differences be from the 2014 to the 2015 for you?

Have you seen the NRB in person? I have, and have my opinion.

Night Race Blue with Kalahari interior and Chrome Wheels is a stunner.

It's easy to guess my favorite platform. Almost sad. I try to branch out but keep coming back to the same thing. Can't tell you how pleased I am to add the new Stingray to my choice of weapons. This car makes all of the colors look great, making this choice even more difficult than the last.

I can't express my gratitude enough for the help, time and patience of the members of this site.

To be honest, I just want the new 8 speed transmission. The last time I saw a Night Race Blue was last year and I wasn't seriously considering the color at the time. On one hand, I LOVE that color on the Stingray. On the other hand, it's the same color as my big sister's Cadillac. We park next to each other at church. :-\

Those are both good reasons. You are a winner either way.

Which ever way you go you have to be happy with what color you select. At the end of the day it will be you that walks up on this new vette from across a parking lot and admires that color. Don't worry too much about what others might say or think and enjoy your selection. After all it is your favorite color!

Laguna Blue is preferable than NRB IMHO. NRB was my first choice initially but realised that it is way too dark in dull weather. The Laguna Blue looks good in all conditions. My 2 cents.

Good point, Chip. I have not yet seen Shark Gray in Person. Unless it blows me away, it looks like I may stick with Laguna Blue.

The Stingray is my first car with an automatic transmission. No joking: it actually took some learning to get used to it. At first, I never knew what to do with the accelerator after a shift. I tended to throttle up. The gears seemed so tall. From the beginning, I wanted a lower ratio first, second and third gear. Now, it looks like the new 8-spd will deliver exactly that and I am happier than a monkey with a dirigible made of bananas.

I'm biased to the Laguna blue, Get it again! Seriously, my neighbor only buys white cars. Every car or truck I've seen him with over the years are white. And he has a couple at a time, so getting another LGB sounds like the ticket to me. :)

if as you say it's for the 8 speed, then keep your favorite color and just get a Laguna Blue 2015 ...it's what you want and that's what's key.

Personally I'd opt for the Crystal Red, of course they all look nice but I can't believe the compliments day in and day out I get on this car, the CR goes very nice with the black accents as well. Not seen here is the CF roof I also have...
