Only thing I can add here is the GM folks at Carlisle said the Z06 wheels were lighter weight than say a typical wheel but they didn't tell me what the actual weight was.

Being around for awhile and coming from the days of super deep dish wheels with allot of punch to them, it's been kinda hard to get into the shallow large diameter wheels of today and the thought of slapping a set of 20" wheels on an older classic (Like me) just doesn't look right for me..... However, I've got to tell ya, these new Z06 wheels are spot on as far as I'm concerned. Without having seen them up close and personal, the only improvement (Maybe) I could see is perhaps rounding some of the edges a bit more. For me personally, the wheels Infinity has come out with are awesome as far as finish is concerned.... Wife has what appears to be a set of Pearl nickle wheels on her QX60 that look phenomenal...

Spectras in the link below... The give and take of painted rims such as the straight black and Spectras down the road may be rocks eating away at the finish as paint doesn't have the same resiliancy as chrome or maybe even the nickel finish. At that time, I will powdercoat them.

Alloy wheel Tire Wheel Rim Spoke

I selected the spectras because that silver ring around the outside just gave the wheels a very clean 'mag' look'.

For 2016's you now have an accessory wheel option for the Z06.

Alloy wheel Rim Tire Spoke Wheel

Notes please: LPO dealer accessory option, and thus can not be ordered on a new 2016 Z06 in place of one of the four standard Z06 wheels. However, that means it is available through parts counter order for 2015 Z06's also.

Love the design of the OEM wheel and I can't imagine GM investing in the machinery to produce all their wheels, particularly "Forgings." I'd love to find out who's producing them for GM. I realize there's contracts between GM and any wheel manufacturer that may be producing them, but all in due time..... Would love to see more of a selection in various sizes, such as 18", 19" and 20" in various widths through GM parts Departments in the OEM designs....

Their prime wheel vendor is Ronal and although they throw around the term "Forged" a lot these are all basically flow formed wheels. Nothing wrong with that but don't confuse it with billet forgings from custom wheel makers.

On the 2016 Corvette Stingray Options and Prices in the Z06 Section they list:
Q6B Wheels, Z06 Chrome $1,995 I really like the ZLE Spice Red Option, but would like the wheels in chrome.
