There are two types of people on this forum. Ones with the new C7 and ones without likely waiting for their car to arrive. On Thursday, I went from those without to the those with group. I ordered the car back in late November and feel lucky as I understand others have had to wait much longer. I was able to get all options including Z51 and magnetic ride control. Royal Red with 3LT Napa Leather. The car is simply stunning. The dealer put my car on the show room floor about 1/2 hour before I arrived and said everyone coming and going stopped and stared and it collected a nice crowd. I have seen the C7 in other colors, but this was the first one in Royal Red with the black rims and red calipers. My daughter said it looked like an exotic race car. And, that is what it is. If you think about it, this car would rank up there with many of the exotics of recent times. Starting and driving this car is similar to the thrill of driving a Ferrari F430. I have not gotten hard into the throttle since it is in the break in period, but you can tell this engine is tuned right based on the massive amounts of torque. The C7 accelerates fast under moderate conditions without having to run much past 3000 rpm's. I am looking forward to pushing her harder when more miles are on the odometer.
Only complaint is minimal as feet get hot even though floor heat is turned off. Seems like hot air is coming out of floor area all the time. Also, memory seat button is not working correctly. Have to push it a bunch of times to get it to work and then hold it in until it reaches the set point. disappointed to learn that Pandora app will not work with Apple products unless they are tethered to the car via USB or you stream from the phone not using the on board Pandora App. Perhaps this will come in a future upgrade.
Otherwise, I am amazed with this car and feel like I got the steal of the century. Corvette has proven that it does not need to cost $220K plus to be an exotic. Home Run!
