Another really fun museum, encompassing more than cars, is the World of Speed in Wilsonville, OR. Fun, fun place. Here are a couple of sentences forom their web site:

"The museum encompasses many aspects of motorsports, including drag racing, road racing, land speed racing, motorcycle racing, open wheel, NASCAR and hydroplanes. Special exhibits like the Daytona Display, Wall of Sound, Oregon Sidewinders display, 3 Race Car Simulators and more!"

Thanks! Added :eek:nthego:

If you do it around ski season, Telluride is just a couple hours away! Biking in Gateway one day... Skiing the next! That's 'Isavette' at the top of the mountain.

Just added another to the growing list (post #1): Elliott Museum in Stuart Florida. A fascinating museum that is a tribute to Sterling Elliott who was a very creative inventor. It has a very eclectic collection of cars, some motorcycles, Chris Craft boats, some organs, historical Florida items, etc. One of the most interesting parts of this museum is its three-level car storage system that holds over 50 cars. By entering in a bay number, the car is retrieved automatically, brought down on a 'robotic' tray, transfers to a turntable and rotates 360 degrees to show the car off. Really intriguing.

I did not have my regular cameras (did not know I was going to be at the museum), but here our a couple of shots:

If you are anywhere north Texas, well worth a visit, check hours on website. East of Wichita Falls and northwest of DFW.
Thank you. I have added it to the list in post #1.:eek:nthego:
