I am throwing out a request for opinions on the best way/product to clean matte black inside the rear hatch lid...i got window cleaner overspray on it and after wiping it off have streaking that is driving me nuts...and the more i try to even things out, the more damage i seem to be doing..lol

there is no "best"...any plastic interior cleaner from any of the good detail mfrs will work, look locally at the meguires line at the auto parts store - if oyu want to order mail order from a detail house like autogeek.net, look at Aerospace 303...wipe first with a 25/75% alcohol/water to strip it clean...

I like to use the Aerospace 303 myself. I use it on all the plastic parts. As it comes as a spray bottle I've sprayed on a cloth first then wipe the surface.

Glen also offered up a great suggestion a while back, when you are done put the cloth in a zip lock bag, that way when you need to use again it is already moist and you use less.

Try CarPro PERL Coat Plastic & Rubber Protectant. Apply per its directions (you dilute it with water). It works very well.:cool:
