Bryan - just a great write up and so much fun to read about the event and the days events. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed reading it and a great set of pictures too!
Thank you TXAg92! When you come back to TX to visit, lets meetup. FYI I lived in Brandon, actually closer to Valrico in 76-79 out in Buckhorn Country Club subdivision. Small world.

Just realized that my full race video unlisted YouTube link in Post #60 linked here cut out with a few more miles and heavy banter to go! I will re-render the video and watch it all the way thru later today and most importantly re-post the updated link.

My apologies to Rodney and German as the ending is always a hoot.

Let us know when the rest of the video is posted. You can't leave it on a cliffhanger like that.

"You got to speed up, man! Speed up!!!"

"I'm trying! I'm trying! You don't know how hard it is to hold it!"

As a back seat rider, I will ask why you don't route the cord toward the passenger's side of the grab handle, then through the grab handle hole from right to left, and finally up to the rear view mirror. I think that might hold it out of the way. That would bother me having to brush it out of the way to get to the gear shifter.

Thank you for posting it, Bryan. I had a lot of fun watching the video.

Rodney, glad you enjoyed it! Holding a steady speed for time is not as easy as one thinks! LOL. As to the cord, I originally did have it that way when we mounted it on the front windshield but AT THE LAST MINUTE, well actually at the last minute before we start strapping in Bonnie moved it to the mirror and I wasn't paying attention. You are correct, it was routed around the grab handle on the Leg 2 and you could have seen it that way HAD I hit the record button........but you already read that crazy story. :welcoming:

That was great, Bryan! It was like the Corvette had a back seat and we were in it. I might be tempted to try that sometime, but in a lower (way lower) speed class. Looks like a great challenge to match the time.

Bryan, thanks for taking us along on your run. Obviously Bonnie is one heck of a co-pilot. :pride:
