My iPhone connects seamlessly to play music as soon as I start the car and the Bluetooth connects. The issue I am having is that the odometer info will say "Bluetooth audio" instead of the song that is playing. When I disconnect the Bluetooth and reconnect the Bluetooth on the main screen the song name appears on the odometer info as it's suppose to. Any idea how to get it to always show it instead of having to disconnect and reconnect? Thanks

I have had same problem. Actually it worked for a while. Always showed the song name on odometer. Then one day it said Bluetooth audio. I remove my iphone and re paired it and it worked fine. Then next day same thing. I have since just left it that way. Don't know here the issue is. Is it iphone related, or software related on our infotainment system? Don't know. Would be nice to get an answer though.

High probability the problem is the Bluetooth stack on your phone as I have seen this exact same behavior on Chrysler and VW infotainment systems. That's why I stick with a plugged in iPod nano, works every time and doesn't deplete my iPhone battery.

Mark, your using the exact setup I'm planning on using once I get my car. Do you plug your iPod Nano into the USB port behind the drop down screen? And how does the controls work on the steering wheel for that?

Yes, my operation, too, everything works from the wheel and display, set your iPod in the cubby, connect with genuine apple cord and forget it....

This is strictly my opin (no basis in fact) , but when you ask your phone to do triple duty with BT streaming, pandora, nav and voice, you risk the system getting confused a but. So taking your music files out of the mix and using a sd card or iPod " relieves" the system a bit....

Glen, you've made this "Old Man" very happy. All these issues and complaints from faulty "Navigational Systems, to Oil Ingestion, to Unacceptable Orange Peel, Leaking Radiators and Faulty Belt Tensionors has made my head spin at times and ask myself, "What the hell I am getting myself into here?" Yet, it still feels right and I have to ask myself the question, I probably won't even realize many of the problems others are experiencing because I'm not as technologically advanced as they are. Sometimes a certain amount of ignorance can go a long ways in making life much simpler... :)

This makes sense as the Pandora app only works if connected by the USB port. So connecting the iPhone with a hard wire for music files is logical.

Since wife stole car again today and i don't have it with me. I will confirm tonight.

Just confirmed that if the iPhone 4s is attached via a USB port the song and artist information show on the middle screen when in audio mode.

I would not worry about any issues out there if anything you are more aware.
This forum only has about 10 percent of the possible Corvette owners.
