As many of us look into supercharging our vehicles I am wondering if there is ever going to be an update for the center screen to be able to add a boost gauge. What do you guys think of this possibility?

Believe that GM, knowing when they created the StingRay's digital instrument panel (IP), that the 2015 Z06's were going to have/need a boost gauge, that the boost gauge is "virtually present" in every StingRay, requiring only a software upgrade.

Whether GM would allow such IP upgrade to cars coming from the factory without a supercharger is the difficult question. Perhaps if you sign an acknowledgement of "partial warranty voiding," and pay a fee, they might allow that. Or, just like aftermarket tuners have figured out how to eliminate the "skip shift" feature in their programming updates, maybe such folks would be able to bring the hidden boost gauge "out of the closet," have it appear as one of your StingRay pocket gauges. IMHO GM will never expose it on cars without factory forced induction, their legal department would have a heart attack with a disclaimer you describe. Wishful thinking but not the way warranty law works.

Perhaps someone will eventually crack the dash control module code as that's the only way this would ever get exposed. You also have the question about where this is getting measured.

As I save up for the procharger I would love this option instead of an additional boost gauge.

Even if someone cracks the code. I would still want another boost gauge of some sort. Either a digital or analog.

The factory boost gauge on the ZR1 and ZL1 leave a lot to be desired. On a stock car, it's fine. On a car that has been modified, it doesn't have enough resolution.

If they actually add a digital readout that could be displayed in the center section or on the HUD, that would be nice. In the Camaro and the C6 platform, there are companies that offer a module to display aftermarket gauges through the HUD. I would imagine those same companies will start to offer them for the C7.

well im trying to find out all the HP Tuners can change.. had Jannetty Racing look into the list of speed limiters to see if it can change the performance meters limit of 125mph max..
There are option for force induction in the PCM that show up on HP Tuners. One of those might enable it.. You never know
