Does anyone know if the recent stop ship resulting from the drivers side airbag and parking brake issues is going to affect Targeted Production Weeks?

Agreed. Also mine is not scheduled to be built for another 3 weeks. NCM in about 5 Weeks. I'm really just trying to estimate when I pick up to avoid schedule conflicts. Not really concerned about the airbag or brake.

While there was one person whose TPW was pushed back (he had no constraints but had ZF1???), unaware of any other TPW's being pushed back.

Mine was built on August 21st and is stuck in Bowling Green and my GM contact keeps telling me it's on a hold but can't tell me why or when it will be released. I'm getting really frustrated now. I just want an answer as to why it's on hold and when to expect my car. Is there anyone else out there going through this issue?

I had TPW of 9/15 and car was produced yesterday. Come on now, let's ship!
Mine was built Monday and according to the Chevrolet track my order website it is "shipped/en route" as of this morning. I know the website is not always accurate and shipped/en route could mean many things other than actually on its way.

Here is my optimistic theory, obviously they aren't going to stop production and they hopefully have a solution for the airbag problem for new cars and they are getting the new parts while being built. Then they will ship these cars asap because they don't have room on the lot to keep them as the ones needing the new airbag parts are getting the new parts replaced. Otherwise they would continually keep the lot full with every batch of new cars built needing parts replaced and never get ahead of the problem, it would be a vicious cycle.

Like I said this is just my optimistic theory...

My car also says "Shipped en Route" now for over three weeks. My car is the new Shark Grey, does anyone have any info on that particular color being held longer for any specific reason. I noticed when I looked around online at a lot of the major Corvette dealers that non of them show having this color in stock yet, they all say " Inbound" which seems odd to me. One dealer has over 50 of the Shark Grey that says inbound and not a single one of them in stock. If anyone has some info let me know , thank you everyone. I thought this experience was suppose to be fun and exciting and honestly it has been up until the last month when not a single person can give me an honest answer about my car.

I feel your pain , mine was built on 8/13 and its still at the plant !
Wow! 8/13? That's a little ridiculous. Especially without any type of explanation or ETA. Mine (SG as well) was built wk of 9/1 and is on the list. Unfortunately I paid cash on 9/8 thinking it'll be on its way soon and then the stop delivery came out a day later. GM site says delivered since they registered it as paid for but it's sitting at 4B00. If I don't hear an update on the issue by Friday, I'm requesting a refund until it is actually delivered. Prob bad on my part for paying early but I was so excited and wanted the process to go quickly. If anyone has heard sound rumors on the issue we'd appreciate that info.....

Sorry for your situation but this is a classic example of why you never pay for anything you haven't taken possession of.......

Ha! So true.....lesson learned. Not like I've lost the money. But someone else is making interest off it.

But didn't that start ticking your warrant clock? That would be my only concern. Talk to your dealership and see what they can do to help you (like sell you a really good GM extended warranty at their cost with zero markup), or maybe something else.

I'm curious to know if you bought from a local dealer or a cross-country one.

For us buying out of state and doing courtesy delivery local, it was clearly spelled out to me by elegant in another thread I started that the payment for the car comes post-build when the car is enroute to the courtesy delivery dealer. So, we would be in the same kind of boat as you if ours ends up being held up.

Yes it was an out of state dealer that offered mil discount on any models and I'm having it courtesy delivered to TX. Local dealers for me have markups. I thought I was being a good customer....they placed my order, the car was built, and they sent me the invoice. I paid a week later hoping the car would be in transit soon and I wanted the delivery to go smooth. Don't get me wrong, the dealership's communication seems very good with me but I don't think they even know how long the hold will take. But if it appears to go more than a week without an ETA then I plan on asking for a refund until the car is delivered. Don't know if that will work but I'll try. And I honestly thought that's how it works....car is built, you get an invoice, pay, car gets dropped off. I know it's possible to run into damage issues with the shipment or build quality but I was taking my chances on that. On another thread I heard a new VIN list is out that has significantly reduced the number affected. Anyone heard of that?
