My father was a tailgunner for the B-17 Flying Fortress. Flew 25 missions over Germany at age 17 and was shot down four times. Captured on his last mission and held POW for 15 months before escaping.

My wife and son flew today in the B-17's Navigator's Seat and the Bombardier's Seat. These planes are INCREDIBLE. We are so fortunate to be able to take pictures like these . Yes, this was/is the greatest generation. ATTACH=CONFIG]11434[/ATTACH]
