I really wanted to put up a link for my video on youtube, but due to my post, the system won't let me =(
you can easily find the video by typing " c7 corvette chirp " on YouTube by David Kim.

It is really hard to tell due to road noise and exhaust note but if you listen very carefully, you will hear chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp lol

It is a 2016 base 1LT A8 which I think was built in Feb-Mar 2016??
I currently have 750miles on it. As I remember, I started to hear that weird noise at 200miles. after putting 500s miles on the car, the noise gets louder and louder
and it is VERY irritating to hear.
this noise occurs in EVERY gear despite of the speed, it used to happen at 1500RPM but since it got louder, I can hear it at 2k, 2.5k even at 3k RPM.
At first, I thought it was just happening in V4 mode but it's not. it happens in V8 or V4 but a bit harder to hear when the exhaust is opened.
This is very frustrating. I don't know if this noise is defined as "warble" but for me, it's more like a chirp.

Recently, the car started to make "WOP" sound when I apply on the throttle from the dig. It's happening EVERYTIME!!!! holy crap...
Thought the chirp noise was from injectors or something but when the car is in N or P, it does NOT generate the same noise so I am guessing it might be the transmission.

chirp noise when acceleration and crrprrrrprrrprrrrprrrprrr noise when cruising at steady speed +/- 1MPH.
Is anyone having this noise?? I surely can try to record the noise by trying to hold the phone in different angle or position and will upload if any of you want to hear a clearer noise hahaha.
thanks!

Your thoughts are really important... =)
I also made an appointment next Monday(Jan/23/17) and the service advisor did hear the noise and told me there's a slight vibration from the rear and might be the Torque converter.

yeah a flutter is more what I hear, very faint in the videos. But once you hear a sound like that you hone in on it every time you get in the car.

thank you!
I guess it's more of a flutter+chirp lol. I only think of a turbo flutter but this sounds more like a high pitched flutter haha
I kind of refret not getting M7 since I bought this car for a daily purpose lol
I don't see anyone having issues with their M7 in terms of trans/drivetrain noise lol

Yes! Every time I try to enjoy the V8, the noise kicks in like a vtec and irritates the heck out of me lol
At this point, I don't even know if my car is "okay" to be driven daily since I don't know what the cause of the noise is..

Sorry but I can't hear much of anything out of the ordinary in your video. Have you compared the noise you're hearing to the infamous warble noise documented here in the Richard Straker video although this seems limited to the A8s?

Yes I have watched the video of warble sound. I don't always have that noise but it does generate the warble when low speed in high gear. Mine's more of a flutter/chirp which I don't find it normal in anyways

Torque tube? There were or are issues with the torque tube having issues, certainly does sound like a drive shaft like, or universal like, or something mechanical not operating correctly. Reminds me of a universal bearing out of grease, or what a throw-out bearing would sound like when toast.

I wouldn't either and don't let your dealer tell you it is. That seems to be a favorite of some dealers when they don't want to deal with something they don't know about.

I have actually made an appointment with one of my local dealer next week and the service advisor DID hear it and also felt a little vibration from the rear and also thought that the noise is due to a bad TT. Well all I know at this point is to just suck it up and wait until the technician tries to find the problem and have a fix for it.
The first dealer I went to prior to this particular one, the technician said they heard the noise but don't know what is causing it.
However, they said it is OKAY and think it's normal...LOL I immediately left that dealership.
Long story short, I will keep everyone updated as soon as I hear something from the dealer.
Thanks!

David, I'm glad that you left that first dealership, "it's normal I think" What!! I hope that the second dealership gets your C7 masterpiece squared away back to 120% so you can get back to wheeling around in that awesome FL weather.

I recently looked at different articles about torque tube failure/problem and realized it was mostly for early builts like 2014-15 models.
Also heard that GM has replaced the original TT to an updated one since 2016. But my car is a 2016 model... what?????

Alright. 1/24/17. Just got an update from the service manager and said that there is nothing wrong with the car regards to the flutter noise. The "Corvette specialist technician" test drove the car and described as normal flutter noise from the engine/transmission in transition from V4 to V8. o_O? Because automatic transmission has a lot more components than the manual (which is true), the manual does not make flutter noise because you are selecting the RPM and gears to shift.
Bottom line is, that is wrong! I even hear the noise either in V4 or V8 in D or M. The noise is louder in touring or eco mode because it quiets down the exhaust. It's not a ticking noise which is the fuel injector but I asked him where or what component is creating such flutter noise but didn't get a clear answer because the technician doesn't know.
The service advisor was excellent trying to help me out. I do give him thumbs up for that.
However, in regards to the noise, I am most liekly send a letter, email or call GM so that THEIR technician can come out and test drive the car with me.
Thanks for reading. When I get my car back, I will record a video again try to catch the noise more clearly so that you guys can REALLY know what it sounds like.
I'll keep you all updated! Thanks!

Yes. That is what I am planning on doing once I pick up my car.
I am afraid if it is only me having such issue but is there anyone having "chirp or flutter" noise
When accelerating and cruising despite of the speed or gear?? (especially with light throttle)??

Here are some new ones that I have recorded in the past.
hope it is clear enough for everyone to hear the FLUTTER or CHIRP noise =)

Towards the last part of the first video, you can notice that I shifted from D to M and downshifted to 1st gear.
Even in 1st gear around 2k+RPM the car flutters. In MANUAL MODE too....
I left it on Eco mode just because it quiet downs the exhaust but this noise is present even if in Sport, Touring or Track.
