Looks like the bone stock C7 will run a 12.23 @114.88 MPH in Stock form... Lets see what those boys at Hennessey will do with it in a few weeks time.

This is the first customer-owned, production 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray to be tested down the 1/4 mile dragstrip. Factory stock equipment includes: Automatic transmission, Z51 & 3LT packages. VBox acceleration testing showed acceleration from 0-60 mph in 4.15 sec. and 0-100 mph in 9.50 sec. Stay tuned for more testing of the new Vette by the team at Hennessey Performance coming soon.

If a bone stock C7 can actually run this on stock tires it is certainly going to shake up the sports car world!

Any chance they put some drag radials on for this run?
Doesn't look like it, but the video is really quite dark. You can see the sidewall at :50, and it looks like a stock tire.

I could see that they wouldn't want to add to the performance of the stock car as they are certainly setting a baseline to compare their improvements to.

Be very very very cautious if you plan on working with Hennessy. To say they have a checkered past would be kind. I would be much more comfortable working with Lingenfelter.

The 0 to 60 should be around 3.8 with good launch and yield an 11.9 1/4 @117. You wouldnt be able to do that everytime naturally, but someone should be able to hit that.

In the spirit of re-visiting old threads, I came across this article on drag racing the C7.

They were able to get an 11.86 quarter mile from a stock Z51 on factory tires. Secrets of a STOCK 11-Second C7 Corvette

This aligns with 2FAST4U's post above.

This makes me think of 1970, when the absolute best quarter mile times were 13.20's from Hemi Cudas and LS6 Chevelles.

You could get a 1970 chevelle SS with a 396
Camaro SS, Nova SS, and El Camino SS as well, however the engines actually displaced 402 cubic inches in 1970. ALL of these were slower than a new Stingray in the 1/4 mile by the way...even the mighty 70 Chevelle 454 LS6 was more than a full second slower than a new vette.
