So my low gas light came on drove another 28 miles to Costco gas, filled up for $4.19 per gallon and it was 18.502 gallons total? I believe the gas tank is 18.5 correct? Was this my lucky day?

Or the last fractions of a gallon filled up the gas intake pipe from the gas tank up to the gas cap...

He was running on fumes.

It's worth noting that the fuel pump is cooled by the gas that's in the fuel tank. At this kind low fuel level that pump isn't getting the cooling it was designed to get.

Very surprised. Most vehicles have an unusable amount at the bottom of the tank for crap to settle
