What do you believe will be the base price of the C7 Z06?

Less than $80,000

$80,000-$84,999

$85,000-$89,999

$90,000-$94,499

$95,000-$99,999

$100,000+

We will hear at NAIAS from Tadge Juechter, "if you could afford a C6 Z06,
you can afford a C7 Z06."

Thanks for voting. I see no one has voted for the last option, "if you could afford a C6, you can afford a C7." That comment was repeated made by all members of the C7 team, each time they were asked between the 1.13.13 StingRay Reveal and the its pricing announcement on April 26, 2013 (at the National Corvette Museum Bash) . Perhaps we will not only learn 2015 StingRay pricing, but maybe also C7 Z06 pricing at this coming year's Bash?

Bash info

Or, because the Z06 is only scheduled for "late 2014" availability, perhaps the Z06's pricing may not be revealed until the National Corvette Caravan -- which also ends at the NCM.

I think the Z06 might be replacing the ZR1

What causes you to think that? (I think you may be right.)
Fifteen days from now we will get a "major clue" as to whether the Z06 is the last high perf C7. If the Z06 comes in around 575 HP, I believe we will see a ZR1 in about two years (MY 2017). If the Z06 comes in around 625 HP and out performs the ZR1 due to better tires, eLSD, better weight distribution, etc., then, IF GM is right and this is a short generation (say 5-6 years), believe the Z06 will be the last high perf C7 (other than specialty packages, e.g. Z07, etc which all are sub-sets of the C7 Z06).

Just fifteen more LONG days to wait.

It wouldn't make good business sense to not have a zr1 of cause they will have a zr1 and I'll tell ya this it will be better than the last one.
The ZR1 never made good business sense, they didn't sell enough of them to warrant the development. It was a halo car, pure and simple.

Perhaps the variants will mostly, or even ALL be available in the Z06? Might we see the rumored new 8-speed auto, the removable top and even a Z06 convertible? And/or, maybe the variants will be more special edition Z06 sub-models, such as the Z07 option package, and the Wil Cooksey and Ron Fellows special editions?

Almost halfway through the Z06 base price poll, and 62% say the base will be between $80-90K. Only 8% say the base price will be below $80K. 22% say base price will be between $90-100K, with the final 5+% saying over $100K. (Rounding errors included.)

As the base price of the 2013 C6 Z06 was about $77K, and if the C7 Z06 comes through with its reputed 625 HP, 635 TQ, guessing the 62% who voted $80-90K will be "on the money." However, as the Z06's release info is just eight days away, we shall see whether those who vote after the official GM specs are out, change this poll's results.

I don't see how they going to make it as fast as ZR1 and handle better then make it like $20k-$30k less..
Last Z06 was just NA and only 70 more HP. This one has a supercharger and is 165HP more HP then base..
I'm think close to $100K then ZR1 down the line will be 700HP and $130k

Based on what was announced I stand firmly on my selection of under $80K for the base Z06 that I made when this thread was first put up.

Consider these facts:

Same chassis, not a one off outsourced aluminum chassis like they did for the C6 Z06, zero cost
Updated springs rates and shock valving, zero cost
LT4 SC engine - $10K up charge
Bigger brakes - $2K up charge (remember CF brakes are Z07)
Bigger wheels and tires - $2K up charge
Aero and bodywork - $1k up charge
Track cam - $1k option

Everything else inside the car is basically the 2LT package so take a Z51 2LT with Mag ride and Perf exhaust, $62,000 and add up the upcharge list, $16,000. That makes a base Z06 7 speed ~ $78,000.

Sure, you can get to $100K real quick with a fully optioned Z06/Z07 but the base will come in under $80K.

The LT4 engine itself is $10k more.. plus the supercharger another $8k..
Aero and body work carbon fiber I thought they said so like $3k or more
So should be like $90K
Which make it as fast as ZR1 for less money

The 2013 C6 Z06 listed for $77K. Today, GM posted that the C7 Z06 will start at the "same approximate price" as the Z06. Thank you GM!! All the more unbelievable considering all the upgrades list in CQ4Life's post immediately above.

Conversely, as the C6 Z06 topped out at $103K (without even the custom VIN, nor the "custom motor build" options), with the Z07 option, the C7 Z06 could approach the $120K price (again without those two same options).

Car and Driver reported that Chevy said "with EVERY option the Z06 will be less than $100 k." Of course, the Z07 package is an option on the Z06.

See the end of the video Chip posted 30 minutes ago.
