Ok - here's my dilemma: 2015 Z06 or 2015 Stingray convertible and having Callaway work their magic.....I live in California, so Callaway is the only "smog legal" modified Corvette I can purchase (vs Hennessey and Lingenfelter). My concern is Callaway offers a 3-year warranty on their cars, so what happens after 3 years? Has anybody had experience with Callaway before?

I really want the convertible since I currently own a 2007 Z06. I also MUST have the power, so something will need to be done to the car to give me the thrill I require.

Callaway is a first class organization. They built top notch quality. One of their SC606's continues to run perfectly -- with its 160,000 miles. There is a reason why GM recently authorized Callaway to be Corvette's only FIA GT only representative (which, by the way, Callaway won this year). Callaway does offer a five year warranty option. Here is that option on a 2014 StingRay (taken directly from the web site):

"188.71.0001 Callaway Extended Powertrain Service Contract, 2014 Callaway Corvette (more info)
Increases term of Callaway limited powertrain warranty from 3 years/36,000 miles to 5 years/100,000 miles. $2,900."

You may have two excellent options, a Callaway and a 2015 C7 Z06 convertible -- though the later is speculative at this point. You may want to visit here, post # 11 for a little more conjecture.

The really great news is that Callaway is a fantastic option and you might, repeat might, have a second one.
