Not so much that it's a Ford but it's competition for the Camaro, not the Stingray. If they would have developed the GT then that would be an entirely different story but they would still have to do it for under $70K and no one other than Chevy seems to know how to do that.

It does what Mustangs do... They sound great, and that is about it. I dont know if the Mustang has ever intended on being direct competition to the Corvette. It is the Camaro Killer though. With the release of the new Camaro, it was the first time in history that the Camaro has EVER outsold the Mustang.

Actually, I can speak from personal "current" experience. My husband just purchased 3 weeks before my C7 a 2014 Roush Mustang, Stage 3, Phase 3 with Aluminator Engine... 760 hp and it is a BEAST!!! It will blow the doors off my C7, BUT it's not as sophisticated, sexy or tech'e! The two vehicles are totally different. I would certainly compare it to the Camero ZL1. Nothing compares to the 2014 Stingray. Here's a picture of what "else" is in our garage...

I thought you were going to get her&his C7s and pick his up at the museum. Has the Beast purchase eliminated that plan?

Gorgeous car and don't take this wrong but why the Roush vs. the GT500?

Most guys with camaro's mod them to eat mustangs...lol I have a ZL1 and its planting 620 RWHP and 600 RWTQ = Mustang eater! lol

Thats how they should be made factory, but then again you'd see a $25,000 difference in the price tag then. :) cheers

Too bad you're so far away from TX, this weekend is a big camaro vs mustang meet at the drag strip with 1/4 mike, auto cross and car show. I would love to take your ZL1on with my lowly. '05 GT. I will admit you would win in the auto cross for sure because I haven't upgraded the stock crap brakes yet.

The Roush they have is equal or better in some areas then the gt500. Plus that Roush is a rare car, but the only bad thing about the Roush is the resale isn't as good and it won't hold its value at all.

I have a Roush and I would buy another one unless it's used or a great deal. It's cheaper to build a mustang with all Roush parts then to buy the Roush built by Roush.
