Chevrolet has confirmed the price of the stunning 2014 Corvette Stingray for the UK – along with news that the new Corvette will be available in left-hand-drive only.
For folks over in Europe and the UK, the 2014 Corvette will carry a starting price of £61,495, though these international versions will come as standard with the Z51 performance pack – an optional extra in the US. What this means is an all-encompassing pack of upgrades which include tuned suspension, bigger wheels and tires, a limited slip differential and improved aerodynamics.
UK versions will also include further extras as standard including a performance traction unit and performance exhaust system.
Under the hood of the 2014 Corvette you’ll find Chevy’s 6.2-liter V8 that’s good for an eye-watering 454BHP and a frankly mind-blowing 630Nm torque. Along with the newest Porsche 911, the new Corvette is one of only two production cars to feature a seven-speed manual transmission.
What this means to you and me is a Corvette that deals with zero to 60MPH in under four seconds, while at the same time delivering significantly better fuel-economy than older versions. It’s a fully-loaded story on the interior too of course, headed by the automaker’s MyLink interface with 8-inch touchscreen, along with USB inputs and leather upholstery.
Brits will be offered a variety of extras to tweak their 2014 Corvette even further if desired, which include tin-coat paintjobs for an extra £1,000 and a satellite navigation system for £1,450.
