I searched but I cant find the info anyway where should the oil level be when the engine is cold? on the dipstick there is marking that say HOT so im thinking the level should lower...

Do you have a manual? Its very specific in there what to do....a z51 hasTo be checked a very special specific way it's not normal....it is never checked when cold...

It's a question of whether you want oil blown all over your intake system or not with a Z51. Check it hot 5-10 minutes after you shut the engine off, like the manual says.
