I couldn't refuse the deal on this package at the NCM Anniversary Celebration which included free installation, so here it is! Of course, I drove it back to SW Oklahoma (about 900 miles) and had plenty of time to evaluate the sound and performance.

Sound: Incredible! No drone while cruising on the highway. In ECO mode, you can't even hear it when the car is in V4 and it's barely audible in V8. But give it a little throttle and it comes alive. Get's lot of attention and makes the car sound like it looks. Two thumbs up!

Performance: Unbelievable! I can't believe how much my Corvette woke up with this system attached. They say the increase in HP is about 20, but they have had some C7s show considerably more HP increase than this on occasion. I believe mine is one of those. I'll have to dyno my car to find out, but it is definitely a significant increase in power. On fuel economy, in ECO mode, my mpg was 33.5 on a tank and a 25 mile segment best of 37.2 mpg. Two thumbs up here too!

Oh, one more possible benefit. When in ECO, I would often feel the transition from V4 to V8 and back. Sometimes, this would even produce a slight jolt, to the point that a passenger would comment on it. On the 900 mile trip home, mostly in ECO mode, the only thing besides the display on the DIC that revealed that the engine was going from V4 to V8 or V8 to V4 was the sound of the exhaust. As I mentioned above, it was barely audible in V4. There was not one transition jolt at all on the way home!

Here's a video of the first time we fired it up after adding the Corsa followed by some pics of the install. Enjoy!

Here's an audio clip of what it sounds like inside the car while driving. Windows are up...what sounds like wind noise at the beginning is my breath.

I love mine too! Got the black tip sport exhaust. What a difference from stock.

The website's installation video doesn't make it look too easy. Your "free installation" is incredible! Do you know if they still offer it, or think they will again? Would this work even if I don't have the variable exhaust option?

It was great having them do it because they knew exactly what they were doing. They offer free installation when they are at an event and you buy from them at that event. They will be at the NCM Bash in April. Call them to find out other possible locations. And yes, it works with either factory exhaust system.

Jeremy; I will be interested in hearing your thoughts after you have "lived " with this set-up for a while. I am very curious about how well you like it after you have had it for several thousand miles and to read of your observations on things like changes in performance and or MPG's. Be sure to update this thread with your thoughts!

Impressive sound Jeremy and looks very good. I am really interested in what you will find on the dyno. Their site suggests a 5 hp gain for the Helixx and 4 hp gain for the exhaust so 20 or more is amazing.

I'll post results when I can. But I have to find a dyno near me first. LOL

One other thing Jeremy; Keep an eye out for a CEL throwing the code 0430.
Chip, I will definitely post a review once I have some time on the system. I'll keep an eye out for that code too. I've seen people having trouble with it, particularly with the BB exhausts. Time will tell.

Whats the price like in relation to the GM NPP exhaust? Can you turn off the sound and quiet it down?

Just wondering if it makes sense for folks to go to the after market or order the GM one up front. Realize after the fact they have no choice.

Sounds cool !!

If you just buy the exhaust, you can get the Corsa exhaust cheaper than NPP. You can't turn off the sound on this one, but the amount of throttle you give makes a big difference. It's incredible how quiet it is until you hit the throttle. And absolutely no drone.

Another great option, though for 2015 the option has been taken away by GM if you order Z-51, for that now always includes the NPP adjustable exhaust.

View attachment 12549 View attachment 12550 JAGAMAJAJARAN, I just had the same system put on mine today except with polished tips. I saw they had to delete the cats when they installed the x-pipe. We have to have a state inspection in NC. Now I'm wondering if it will pass with no cats. I agree it sounds awesome with absolutely no drone. Someone said look for code 0430, what is that code?

It's an emissions fault code. So far, I haven't had any codes come up with over 1000 miles logged so far on this exhaust.

Possible causes
- Three way catalyst converter Bank 2
- Exhaust tube
- Intake air leaks
- Fuel injectors may be faulty
- Fuel injector leaks
- Spark plugs may be faulty
- Improper ignition timing
- Engine Control Module (ECM)
Help with Possible causes What does this mean?
Tech notes
As the code description implies the P0430 code means that the vehicle's control module has detected that the three-way catalytic converter is not working properly (is not as efficient as the factory is expecting). Replacing the oxygen (O2) sensors may sometimes fix the code, but in most cases the catalytic convert needs to be replaced to fix the problem. If the P0430 code is combined with other codes, try fixing the other codes first.

Jeremy, the system looks great, sounds great, and it fits your C7 perfect. Now don't go breaking any noise laws in your town, you need that cash for more mods!!!

I can't speak for NC, but in Va. it would not pass if it was noticed that they (the cats) had been removed. There is no emission test here in central Va, but I think in northern Va there may be. Good luck!
