The new seventh-generation Chevy Corvette Stingray has been making waves since its first stints in the hands of journalists around the world. Soon, it will be making new waves on track, in the form of the C7.R.

Previously only seen with a checkerboard camouflage wrap, the first photos of the new C7.R in full livery are out, and it looks just about like you'd expect: very good. At least, very racey--the jagged lines and black-and-yellow scheme are definitely not intended for the masses.

The liveries for the two-car Corvette Racing team are done in opposite effect; the #3 car being predominantly yellow with black accents, and the #4 its inverse.

Built by Pratt & Miller, the C7.R will compete in the newly formed United SportsCar Racing series, the successor to both Grand Am and the American Le Mans Series, with its competition debut scheduled for the 24 Hours of Daytona next January.

We'll have more details on the new C7.R race car shortly, but in the mean time, take a look and let us know which you like best. Based on first impressions, we're favoring the #4's scheme.

Great find, and they will be even easier to spot on the track! Love the opposite/complimentary color schemes.

if GM were smart, and maybe they already have this up their sleeve, they will be a "wrap option" on the upcoming Z06's.

I think both are very edgy sharp looking and I am partial to #4 also

We already have our tickets to see them race. I hope they do as well as the c6r's & prototypes have been doing.

#4! Why? It's all about the view of the car as it goes buy on the track. #3 come up way short. Just my take.
