This is a dated piece, but I found it interesting none the less and a good read:http://plasancarbon.com/gm-is-first-automaker-to-use-class-a-cfrp-parts-from-new-pressure-press-technology
The Lexan top is made by Lexamar (Magna International)John; Did you happen to hear who makes the clear top?
Paul; Is this a completed stand alone assembly ready to go to the line, or are there "additions" required? The Lexan top is made by Lexamar (Magna International)
Recall that article from 2013, interesting new manufacturing process. Also recall a comment about the vendor who makes the visible carbon fiber roof, if it does not meet the required quality standards, it can be used as a painted roof. Assume the vendor only gets paid for the lower cost panels if that occurs! Real incentive to make the visible carbon fiber roof meet required quality! This is a dated piece, but I found it interesting none the less and a good read:http://plasancarbon.com/gm-is-first-automaker-to-use-class-a-cfrp-parts-from-new-pressure-press-technology
