ordered and accepted on system 9/17 - delivered 10/22

Did you confirm that your dealer has an allocation?

Did your dealer give you an order number? Is your dealer able to provide you with your status event code?


These questions matter. Ordering from a dealer that was part of the initial Stingray rollout but only had a few allocations will allow you to have an order number but your car will sit at 1100 until the dealer gets additional allocations - likely in the late winter. It is important to know "the rest of the story" with respect to your dealer and your order. Dealers without allocations can leave people waiting a very long time with no end in sight. See you are in New Hampshire, you may very well be with MacMulkin and as such, have very little to worry about.

Should you get the order number before they submit it to Chevy?
I was told after they get it back from the company they will give me a copy of the order in a week to ten days.
Does this sound right?

Think of it like this...anytime you want, you can box something up and put it outside your door for a UPS pick up...but until the UPS truck comes and picks it up, it's not "shipping"..same thing here...the dealer at any time can create an order in the system (code 1100) and that will generate a GM workbench sheet - that you can have. But until Chevy accepts it (code 2000), today, tomorrow or in the future, it's just sitting outside your door. The dealer should give you one of these:

Does not sound right to me!

My dealer submitted my order on 10/15 was accepted by GM same day with a code of 3000. Dealer then forwarded copy of workbench with accepted code and order number to me. I’m now at 3300 and should go 3400 any day now.
