Not the Tyrannosaurus kind of dino, but the Big Big Big horsepower kind of dyno. Edmunds.com threw their brand new Stingray on the Dyno in California just a few days ago, and the Stingray did not disappoint in the least!
For those of you who don't want to watch videos, and would rather just know the numbers because you... Have a job with things to do. Pfft! Like you are better than me.
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray Dyno Numbers:
411 hp @ 5,850 rpm
407 lb-ft @ 4,900 rpm
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray Official Numbers:
460 hp @ 6,000 rpm
465 lb-ft @ 4,000 rpm
That equates to about a 10.65% loss of horsepower, and 12.47% loss in torque due to drivetrain loss. That aint too bad if you ask me.
These numbers are for the base car. I think we are all anxiously awaiting to see what the Z51 Package is going to crank out.
