I was thinking of doing aftermarket supercharger but will probably opt against it after shelling close to $80K (with tags, taxes, fees) for my C7 and will rather wait for Z07 in a year or two. So my question to everyone is this: what are some fairly easy mods that can be done, say under $1,000 to increase performance? And any specific info to manufacturers, shops, websites would be appreciated.

The easiest would be a CAI once they become available and a reliable tune from someone you trust. Based on initial reports you could see close to 440 HP at the wheels with just these mods. Add another $1000 for a cam when they get developed and you could have LS7 performance without breaking the bank.

I only will do one perf mod on the engine bay and that's a CAI... and I'm doing it because.......are you ready for blasphemy?.......

I like the way it looks!!! LOL

and also because a intake plus an exhaust over all sound better....

Have you seen anyone offer custom hoods yet similar to what Callaway / C7 Premiere Edition has? I want to have a cut out / window in center of the hood to showcase the engine.

All you can see is the engine cover. IMO, engines aren't impressive anymore because most factory motors are covered by plastics. However throw forced induction in there and everything changes.

Hessessey can F off on those prices. Personally I think they are way over rated.
No kidding - $3200 for the side skirts and $3000 for the front splitter. That's damn near half way to a complete wide body kit!!

Dynocomp in Scottsdale for easy Mods Dave. They are trustworthy. they have done a ton of corvette work over the years. Ask to speak to Richard. Best of luck!
Rich's GM guru, Ron left DynoComp and is now over at Piccione Performance in Phoenix. Real nice shop with a lot of talent. Just dropped my C7 off to them for more mods. They just Purchased a C7 to build as a shop car as well. Its getting Supercharged.
They painted and lowered mine for SEMA, getting tuned now. Ordered my long tubes and CAI as well.
