I have a preliminary build sheet from Les Stanford in Michigan. The dealer originally had emissions code FE9, but I informed him that as I live in WA state, it appeared to me that NE1 seemed more correct. He agreed and changed the emissions code to NE1. However he also added code NC7. When I asked my salesman about that, he said that that code was also necessary. On the order sheet provided here on the forum, NC7 says "not required" in several states, one which includes WA.
Any ideas/knowledge on this? Is the dealer wrong to put NC7 as well as NE1 on the build sheet?

NB8: Emissions override, California
NB9: Emissions override, state-specific
NC7: Emissions override, Federal
NE1: Emissions, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington state requirements.

I believe NE1 is correct, that your StingRay should have that emissions code . However, I am not thinking an order should have two emissions codes, and if your dealer is wrong by including the second emissions code, computer could possibly kick the order out. Think your dealer needs to call whomever in GM to check the inclusion of the second "NC7" code.

In the interim, I will contact someone who has lots of knowledge in this area, see if he can confirm either way.

I just went thru this with a Washington state order two weeks ago. NE1 is the correct and only emissions code needed...and that is per Harlan Charles, Todd Christansen and the GM Emissions specs.
NE1: Emission: DE/CT/MA/MD/ME/NJ/NY/OR/PA/RI/VT/NJ/OR/WA
