Does anyone else have one problem after another with their 2014 Stingray? Accompanied by back ordered parts.

First welcome to our forum JettPlane. Your post is pretty vague. What type of Stingray do you own, for how long, how many miles and what types of problems?

Little bit of oil burped up into air intake assembly in beginning, otherwise all is well!

No mechanical problems at at all, but C7's have a problem with the LT1 engine that requires control of your right foot to avoid speeding tickets

Haha I love it RegGuy1. Did GM fix their quality issue with the paint shop? I read previous posts where paint quality kind of sucked on some of the initial cars. Hoping that they have these problems ironed out before producing my 2015.

I'd have to say that the paint could be better

Is it an issue with the quality of the paint or how well the car is painted or both?

That's crazy I really hope GM has ironed out QA on their paint process. I wrote a post where I praised GM for winning my business away from Porsche who has an incredibly expensive, highly sophisticated paint shop. Hopefully GM will not let us down on 2015s...

Visor replaced, paint chipping and body panel alignment but that has all been fixed. No other problems to report now

Truthfully, this is not a Porsche 911...the fit and finish of a Porsche is better - I know this well, as I was with Porsche Cars North Am for 8 years. But the car is not 95K too, and the Vette excels in so many other ways, it's not just a trade off , the better value overall is the Vette, (IMO). If you have issues with paint, a good body shop that does high end cars or a master detailer can make it right for less than $1500.

Just one safety recall to replace shocks. Took two hours of my time, other then that I love that stingray!

Thanks Glen - not to get off topic but I definitely realize that Porsche has a better overall fit & finish ... although I think the gap between the Corvette & 911 is narrowing rapidly. I guess the rich always get richer - Porsche kills you on option pricing and then dumps a significant portion of the profit back into R & D. 95k? Maybe for a base 911 which would be embarrassed on the track by the C7. In order to compete you would have to get a Carrera S, which if optioned to complete with the C7 would cost about 125-135k. Agree with you that the C7 is the best value on the road.

JP; This sort of post (without details of your own problems and being your first post here) has all the hallmarks of a "troll thread". Good for getting people stirred up, but not much good for anything else. If you want to give us some more detailed information that's one thing, if this is a "troll drive by" it will be deleted.
