Most exciting will be the initial C7 deliveries coming in roughly a month (lucky folks). Around the same time, for those who are waiting for a high performance version, will be Callaway's release of a supercharged package for the 2014 C7's -- also about 30 days from now.

At Carlisle it was reported that a C7 engineer said that they are currently working on seven C7 models. That was quickly discounted, but there may be some credence to that reported conversation as follows: First, GM has officially classified the coupe, the convertible, the coupe with Z-51 and the convertible Z-51 as four different models. So, if the conversation was accurate, what are the three "future" C7 models?

C7 Product Marketing Manager Harlan Charles, in a video he did for a British show stated, "to keep interest high we like to bring out new models about a year apart." This supports a January 12th Reveal (the night before the NAIAS/Detroit Auto Show) of a new C7 model, which most believe will be a supercharged Z06 -- though one magazine has declared it will be called a Z07, will be twin-turbocharged, put out 600+ HP and start at $100K. Good news is that we are only 135 days away from the Reveal. Here's a question I heard raised that might produce a nice Z06 "shock?" Since the C7's chassis has approximately 60% more torsional rigidity than a C6, with a C7 convertible (top down) being 20% stiffer than a C6 Z06 which only comes with its top permanently bolted in place, might the C7 Z06 come with a removable top? And if this were to be (clearly conditional upon the greater torque of the Z06's motor not inducing significantly greater torsional flex), might not, next March 6th at the Geneva Auto Show, GM reveal a C7 Z06 convertible?

Other models which may or not be part of what GM is working on include a Grand Sport??? A ZR1???

What do you think is coming down the road?

t they were pleased that they did it. I was told while I was at Bowling Green that there primary goal in the redesign was to try to get back to the sales figures of theintroduction of the C6. I was also told there that there wouldn't be any additional models from GM until 2015. I would also like to point out that most of the things GM has told us has been inaccurate. I Have a converible on order and have been told I will take delivery from late October to Christmas. I have until Tuesday to decide whether to cancel the Museum Delivery or not. I will have to drive the new C7 through the mountins of NC to get home and am afraid of winter weather.
