I have used copper "brillo" pads and Simple Green to keep them perfect for three years. The copper is a soft metal (no scratches) and Simple Green works like a charm. Pads are about $1.50 on Amazon.
Same here except I used some good ol' SOS pads. They look great and it only took me about 15 minutes to get a factory-new shine. Now, if only there was a way to keep that shine lasting long time.

I finally ended up going with White Diamond.
Not only does it easily shine the pipes up, but it lasts a long time.
All I do is wipe them every now and then with a microfiber towel.
And it works on jewelry and lots of other things.
Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the info on White Diamond. I'll polish my tips with it after my next cleaning with the SOS Pads.
What do you think of applying ceramic coating after the White Diamond polish? It seems to me that the soot wouldn't stick to ceramic as bad as it does on tips that were only polished....

I don’t get much soot at all. Just at start up where the condensation drips a bit needs to be wiped.
I guess you could try it.
