I received a TSB notice:

GM Program N172093460
Date Issued: Jun 22, 2017
Program Title: Mechanical Trunk Release May Not Operate
Program Description: Certain 2016-2017 model year Chevrolet Corvette Convertible vehicles may have a condition in which a “Trunk Ajar” message is displayed, or the mechanical trunk release may not operate to open the trunk lid.
Repair Description: Reprogram the liftgate control module.

I am not receiving any error or warning messages as described in the recall. I normally rush in and have mechanical recalls fixed ASAP on my vehicles. This being described as something having to be “reprogrammed” concerns me a bit. I have a “if it aint broke don’t mess with it” response. Anybody had this reprogram done as a precautionary measure? If so, what did it entail and how was your experience? Would you do it again?

NOTE: I did try to search this forum before posting. If the topic is already out there please gently direct me toward it.

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience.

Site administration, I moved my question to the other discussion regarding the same topic. I would delete my original post if I could figure out how. Feel free to remove my post.
