Initial Z06's Now 3100 Status! Just learned that my Z06 order become status 3100. Had inquired of Chevrolet Chat, and here is the communication.

I am not the first person to reach 3100 status, as another StingRay Forums member reached 3100 status even earlier today. However, as that person pointed out, at this early stage, status numbers are not always stable, consistent, and can in fact go backwards. However, these are the first two known Z06 orders to move past status 3000, so this good news. Both of these orders were part of the first Z06 consensus, and became status 3000 on September 23rd.

Looking increasingly like the Bowling Green Assembly Plant is right on track with GM's September 18th "constraint memo," which showed a tentative initial target production week (TPW) of 11/3.

GM delivered StingRay customer coupes ahead of its self-proclaimed delivery deadline, did the same on their subsequent announced StingRay convertible delivery deadline, and it is looking they will again beat their written Z06 delivery commitment (which was originally announced as delivering customer Z06's in the first quarter of 2015).

Hope many other Z06 orderers who are currently status 3000 also get their good news real soon!

John, outstanding news, will Christmas come sooner than later!! Will the customers who ordered a Z06 receive it before any car magazine gets one for testing?

Looks like a good number of the early consensus cycle batch have inched to 3100 status... aka Available to Sequence... mine included since yesterday. As of today, no definite TPW's announced yet though.

Nice to see others, who are part of the September 18th consensus, also make forward progress.

Here is what GM's workbench program looks like, showing the progress "WRP SPD" has made.

Notice that the list is sorted by event code. That results in status 2051 Order changed, being listed after 2000 order accepted. However, if you look at the effective date, the order was changed before it was accepted. This gets to be a factor again after production, as all the various 4xxx codes get sorted by Code number, and it can look like you are going backwards, when for instance 4000 released for shipping, gets listed before 4B00 bayed. Yet if you look at the dates, or your dealer sorts it by date, you see that you were bayed for QC, then released for shipping. Also, a salesman might just look at the bottom code on the page and give you a code that is now superseded.

That is precisely correct. I have a post about this a long time ago I need to dig out. Also, I have a post somewhere saying that just because someone goes above 2000 does not mean they will get a car built, yet that is what many people believe.

For example, someone can go 2051 and never see any progress after that because their dealer does not ever get an allocation to match with their order.

However, if someone goes has their order code at exactly 2000, or at 2500 or above, then they will have a car built because to get there they had to have an allocation matched to their car.

By the way, thanks, John! Keep those GM Workbench printouts coming! We can dispel many myths above 3800 as the order progresses along, and dispelling those post-production myths will be much more interesting.

EDIT: post #5 in the following thread is one such post http://www.stingrayforums.com/forum...ling-green-bay-area-qc-delivery-timeline.html

I still need to find the post about what can happen above 3800, and why people's car can arrive at a dealership when CCC may still be telling them they are bayed, or why people think their car is moving when they are actually sitting bayed at an intermediate transfer point like Toledo (it is because CCC may look at the last line in GM Workbench instead of scanning every line to see the latest update).
