I know there are some threads that have been posted about supercharger options offered by Pro-Charger and Eldebrock, but I wanted to see if others out there are considering these options. Part of me says the C7 is fast enough however I don't think this car feels like a car with a reported 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds. It appears that many testing the C7 have a hard time reaching this figure. In fact, some have difficult breaking 5 seconds but this likely can be attributed to temperature, road conditions and the skill of the driver. That being said, likely the tire technology and prefect conditions coupled with great skill have resulted in the claimed 3.8 seconds. All I know is that the chassis of this car is one of the few that can handle more power. This is evident in the fact that the standard C7 was designed by Chevrolet to easily be converted into the Z06.
I also have a SL55 AMG and love the feel of the blower motor. The torque is incredible and I am thinking that adding this feel to the C7 would be really cool. The Edelbrock solution creates a real sleeper since the blower is out of site but the HP figures of the Pro-Charger are also impressive and less expensive. Naturally, I am concerned about the warranty as if I have any engine component failures, warranty would likely be declined. So, I would be interested in other opinions and thoughts on the topic. Also, if anyone has done this, would really appreciate their opinion of the finished product.
