Have you tried some scrap yards? Often times you can find things there where you wouldn't anywhere else if you can't get your hands on one right away.

 

I've often wondered ... if parts aren't available, the vehicle is unrepairable, does that trigger salvaging it?

 

That is what I have had to do in the past on other cars. I will work with the body shop to do a salvage yard search. There must be a front bumper cover and CF hood somewhere!! Thanks for responding!

 

UPDATE: Found a hood in AZ claims to be CF. Will do a FaceTime to verify and make sure hood is in good condition. Bodyshop owner’s wife will drive to pick it up. Also, now that front is off found both Radiator and AC condenser squished down. Supplemental ins claims up over $15k!

 

I feel your pain and frustration. my 2015 Z-51 has lightly hit on the drivers door. The body shop ordered a new door skin and aperture panel (it had a small crack). First door skin came in damaged. The body shop was in hopes the second door skin would be good because it was the LAST one Gm had. They are going to "fix" the existing aperture because there are no parts available. I don't know why there are no body parts for such a new generation of Corvette. After all these many months since covid, I can't imagine it is a "supply chain" issue. It's supposed to ready tomorrow for pick up.

The "supply chain" issue is real, not just for Corvettes. Had a friend whose daughter's Infinity got hit in a parking lot. Minor damage but took 3 months to get parts. My '19 Silverado was hit on Memorial day and I just fot it back. Radiator support bracket.
