I've lived in a 'front plate state' for almost ten years now (Wisconsin)... without a front plate on my 2003. Having moved here from Delaware (a rear only state), I could not stand the thought of sticking that piece of retangular metal on the sleek front of this car. Having polled some local Corvette clubs, it appears that police do not hassle you, unless they have other reason to do so. If you get stopped for running a light, you may be told to put the plate on, and show up at the police station to prove it. I see a lot of Corvettes with no front plate here, in addition to many other 'enthusiast' owned cars of various other makes and models, so I'm not the only one (did not have a front plate on my '06 Civic coupe commuter for six years either). I seem to recall someone saying, that a 'second offence' might cost $300.
